If you are under the age of 18, state law requires
that you complete 30 hours of Driver's Education
and six hours of Behind-the-Wheel driver's
training before you can get your license. Also,
you will need proof that you have driven at least
50 hours with a parent or other adult driver.
At age fifteen and six months, you may get a
driver's permit. You will first need to take a written
test and will be given an eye examination. If you
pass both, you will be issued a permit to drive with
a licensed driver over the age of 21.
IMPORTANT: You must have your permit for 180
days before you can get your license! Get your
permit as soon as possible!!
Once you successfully complete driver's
education and driver's training, you will be
issued certificates to present to DMV. Then you
must take the driving test, and when you pass
that, you will get your driver's license.
